Enriching Our Communities
Murphy-Pitard Jewelers is passionate about giving back because we believe in the promise of community. As we’ve grown, our community has supported us and helped us flourish. Because of this, we have a responsibility to pay it forward. More than that, we believe in the power of giving back to the institutions that make our communities stronger. Through partnerships, sponsorships and donations, we’re dedicated to bringing about positive change to the residents of Union County. Here’s some of the organizations we’ve been honored to support.
South Arkansas Arts Center
The arts nurture and sustain our spirit, which is vital towards uplifting a community. Murphy-Pitard supports the South Arkansas Arts Center (SAAC) by sponsoring one theater production each season. The sponsorship includes both direct financial support and the donation of a custom designed jewelry item to be auctioned off at the event, with all proceeds benefiting the SAAC.
El Dorado Service League
The El Dorado Service League (ESL) is a non-profit women’s organization whose mission is to serve the children of Union County. By working hand-in-hand with school counselors, social workers and other organizations, ESL provides assistance for medical, educational and other charitable needs.
In partnership with ESL, Murphy-Pitard Jewelers hosts an annual gala, where we donate a diamond valued at a minimum of $3,000 to be awarded in a toast. All money collected from the sale of the champagne glasses for the toast is re-invested in our children.
Medical Center of South Arkansas and the MCSA Auxillary
The goal of the Healthy Heart, Healthy You luncheon is to provide information to the community about the importance of heart health and raise awareness about prevention.
Murphy-Pitard Jewelers contributes via a custom piece of jewelry. This year, it was a beautiful 14 karat gold and diamond "key to prevention" heart shaped pendant and necklace. All proceeds go to benefit the great work that the MCSA Auxillary does in the community!
The Symetra Tour
The Symetra Tour, previously known as the LPGA Futures Tour, is the official developmental golf tour of the LPGA. Tour membership is open to professional women golfers and to qualified amateurs, all of whom descend on our community for one week each year to play at the renowned Mystic Creek Golf Club.
Murphy-Pitard Jewelers adores rolling out the red carpet for these ladies. In addition to a check and trophy that are compliments of Murphy USA, the Murphy Shootout winner also receives a four carat diamond tennis bracelet as a reminder of our community and how much we love having them as our guests.
Main Street El Dorado
In 2009, Main Street was nationally recognized as the winner of The Great American Main Street Award. And for good reason. There’s nothing like historic, beautiful Downtown El Dorado, with its enriching shops and restaurants. Many of these establishments are owned and operated by dear friends, hard working families like us, who want to provide shopping and dining opportunities to our residents and guests. Countless donations, investments and volunteer hours have developed our Downtown into a vibrant Union County destination.
When Main Street El Dorado approached us with a transportation need, we answered with the donation of a speedy golf cart. If you’re ever in the area, take a selfie with the cart and tag #murphypitard. We love to see customers out and about, enjoying themselves. Then, swing around to the north corner of the Square to say “Hello” to us. We can’t wait to see you. We also support many other needs of Main Street such as our annual donation of a custom designed and crafted guitar necklace to use for Music Fest, participation in events like Scare on the Square, custom designed and crafted necklace for Gov Con, and many other Main Street needs throughout the year.
